BackSpinRadio.net Enhances Its Music Format With “The MEGAMIX”

On November 1, 2011, BackSpinRadio went to what we chose to call the "MEGAMIX" format. This is the playing of nearly every song that ever made it to the Top 40 at sometime in its life regardless of which genre it came from. Well, ok…nearly every genre anyway. What this all means is that we now play EVERYTHING from classic rock to country to pop to r & b to oldies to doo wop to smooth jazz and even adult standards, easy listening and some big band sounds for good measure. "WHY"? you may ask. We say "why not?" Oldies are oldies as long as they weren't played in the last 10 years, or something like that. So now you get a HUGE LOAD OF VARIETY that no other internet radio station (to our knowledge) is offering its listeners. Our music library has grown to over 50,000 songs which means you may not hear the same song by the same artist for a while. We don't have to explain that these artists are from the super-popular to the one hit wonders.  So this now brings a whole new meaning to our "playing the 50's to 90's."

BackSpinRadio needed a huge change and so in the past few months we have slowly shaken up our playlists by adding more songs and artists from different genres. We now can offer songs off hit albums that never got air play to the playlist too. It's all about variety and the need to keep things always fresh. Our MEGAMIX format is a constant work in progress. Each day we are adding more songs to our present music library.

Our syndicated programs will still be on our schedule with Brit Rock and Treasure Island Oldies making their return very soon. Please check our new schedule line up for times for each show and their encore performances. We are also adding more shows in the future and are currently working out the details so we can stream them to you.

News from the VOICE OF AMERICA will still be offered during the overnights seven days a week. We want to make listening to "BackSpinRadio.net" more fun and  entertaining than before!

SO TUNE IN AND ALSO TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS TO TUNE IN AND LISTEN TO THE "MEGAMIX" on BACKSPINRADIO.NET
