SPECIAL NOTE: Beginning this week, WABC’s surveys were no longer distributed to stores. WABC announced on the air that their survey would be available by mail. Those surveys, typewritten on WABC press release stationery, gave the Top 14 by number, then listed the balance of the survey underneath, without numbers. Also “The Top Ten Albums” feature has been discontinued. Just one year later the station would flip it’s format from TOP 40 to all talk ending an era in New York City radio.
NOTES: This is a text-only music survey. The song titles and artists shown above are presented exactly as they are shown on the printed survey. Any typos, spelling errors and/or other anomalies are as they appear on the printed sheet. Some formatting and modifying may have been done to allow survey to display properly on the blog and improve searching ability.
